**About the role**

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented **Workforce Policy and Governance Officer** to join the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) Workforce Directorate. In this key role, you will develop and maintain an effective policy and governance framework that enhances human resource management practices, fosters a positive workplace culture, and promotes employee wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion. You will play a critical part in advancing CALHN’s people strategy, working closely with stakeholders to ensure best practice and continuous improvement in HR policies and procedures.

As the Workforce Policy and Governance Officer, you will be responsible for evaluating, analysing, and developing workforce policies, reviewing HR systems for compliance, and ensuring actions from audits and reviews are implemented. Additionally, you will support the Executive Director of People & Culture and the Workforce Leadership Team by managing risk registers, providing governance support, and contributing to organisational performance through high-quality people management initiatives. **About You**

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong skills and experience in human resources policy, governance, and operational processes. Your ability to handle complex, sensitive issues with attention to detail and confidentiality is essential.
- Proven experience managing HR policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with executives and key stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in a wide range of software for data analysis, word processing, and spreadsheets.
