**Role Details**: The Policy and Project Officer is responsible for the development and provision of policy analysis and advice to support government administration processes, including the preparation of Cabinet materials. The Policy and Project Officer also coordinates and contributes to key projects aligned to government priorities with a strong focus on building and maintaining collaborative relationships to achieve outcomes.

**Special Conditions**:

- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- This role requires a National Criminal History check.
- Some intrastate and interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required.
- Some work outside of business hours may be required.

**About the Business**: The Social Policy team delivers specialist policy advice to the Premier and Cabinet on portfolio Cabinet business, as well as providing across government leadership in the development of strategic social policy and projects in accordance with the government's priorities. This includes executing strategic policy projects that are a priority for the Premier and Cabinet, providing high quality strategic advice to the Premier and Chief Executive on critical issues across government, and driving and influencing the direction of complex, cross-government social policy reforms.
