With highly experienced staff including specialized brokers, engineers and nautical superintendents, our client offers total logistics management, technical support and freight forwarding expertise to ensure a cost effective solution to accommodate specific delivery needs of our valued clients. They are looking for someone to start as soon as possible

The Assistant Accountant will work alongside the Accountant and will provide support to the accounts department.
- Initial 3-6 month contract with possibility for extension or permanency
- On-time weekly timesheets and pay
- Monday to Friday flexible start/finish times 8:30AM - 5:00PM
- Unlimited working rights accepted
- Double vax preferred but not mandatory
- Role will be 100% office based but WFH is being transitioned
- Based in Kewdale with provided parking
- $36 per hour + super
- On-going training provided

**Duties and Responsibilities**:Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, assisting with the following:

- **Accounts Payable**
- Data Entry
- Reconciliations
- Payment batching
- Supplier relationship building
- Payment cashflow
- **Accounts Receivable**
- Data Entry
- Reconciliation
- Debt Collection
- Customer relationship building
- **Month end preparation**
- Assist accountants
- **Job profit reporting**
- Operations team reconciliation
- Job Profit & Loss reporting
- **Support Accounts Team**

**About You**:

- Exposure within projects space and movement in logistics highly advantageous
- Understanding of oiling, gasing and mining terminology desirable
- Must have sound knowledge on Excel and prior knowledge on Cargowise will be highly advantageous
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
- Highly developed numerical and financial acumen
- High attention to detail
- Strong oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Willing to learn and expand skillset
