Head of Facilities, Food Services and Volunteering

The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation is one of Sydney's largest frontline charities and has been operating for 35 years.

Our mission is to provide assistance to address the cause and effect of homelessness and poverty, as well as unemployment, faced by marginalised individuals. We succeed in achieving this through a combination of caring services like food provision, social welfare and education support.

Our site based in Ashfield houses the ‘Loaves and Fishes Restaurant’, which serves the disadvantaged with free meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner - seven days each week. Also on-site is our church, meeting rooms, offices, a community hall and medical centre. We also have a small fleet of mobile food vans that serve meals at 16 locations across the Greater Sydney basin.

**Opportunity**

In this role you will lead three teams Facilities, Food Services and Volunteering.

The **Facilities team **is responsible for ensuring that all of our assets and facilities are fit for purpose, while maintaining meaningful and productive relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.

The **Food Services team** is responsible for preparing, serving and delivering up to 2000 daily meals, seven days each week.

The **Volunteering team** coordinate volunteers to assist across all locations and departments in the Foundation.

You will drive a collaborative culture which is under-pinned by delivering quality services, implementation of continuous process improvements compliant with relevant quality standards and ensure training and mentorship is provided as necessary. You will work with your teams to maintain and improve operational standards while reducing costs where possible.

The position will involve analysis, forecasting and monitoring of performance against benchmarks and service level agreements and negotiating new and renegotiating existing contracts when necessary.

You will have sound planning skills and deal easily with emergencies when they arise.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role you must demonstrate yourself to be a highly effective communicator who is self aware, and who has a proven background in building and maintaining positive working relationships. You will possess an exceptional customer service focus.

The key to success in this position will be your strong leadership, organisational skills and most importantly a problem-solving 'can-do attitude'

Your experience may have been gained in managing people, time and resources within a building and facilities management and/or food and beverage environment.

**Salary**: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
