**About the role**
As the Contracts Officer you will be part of the Procurement team and will be responsible for providing a high-level supply chain service exceeding the service level requirements of Ipswich City Council in assigned responsibility of strategic procurement and contracts.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain knowledge of the relevant legislative and contractual requirements for the provision of a high-quality contract management and contract administrative service throughout the total life cycle of the contract
- Manage a portfolio of partners and suppliers via a collaborative relationship to ensure optimum delivery quality and sustained performance in line with business objectives
- Prepare technically and commercially accurate tender documents, solicit bids, commercially evaluate responses (liaising with internal stakeholders for technical/quality support) and execute contract documentation.

- Queensland Purchasing Certificate Level 4 or equivalent would be desirable.

This is a permanent full time position at Level 5 with a salary package commencing at $90,018 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
