**About the opportunity**
Join our team at Liverpool Hospital as a full-time Administration Officer in the Department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. We are looking for a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and previous experience in an administration role.
In this position, you will support a dedicated team of scientists and Staff Specialists whilst supervising other Administration Officers. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of the department, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

**What you'll be doing**
The Administration Officer will ensure the delivery of a range of administrative and clerical support services and provide supervision of administrative staff to support the Department of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases to achieve their objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and perform a wide range of administrative tasks and work flow within allocated resources.
- Demonstrated ability to determine priorities for others, allocate tasks, coach and mentor work performance of staff to achieve work objectives.
- Demonstrated initiative in acting on gaps or identified opportunities to address service delivery issues quickly and effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong written and verbal English and be capable of professionally liaising and working with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation using different modes of communication in a technical and business context.
