Davidson is proud to partner with one of the most competent and highly regarded arms of the Queensland Government. We are looking for a results-driven Procurement Officer for a 12-month contract.

**About the Role**

The Procurement Officer oversees managing procurement activities of moderate complexity, aiming to achieve value for money by using best practices.
- Undertake procurement and contract management, in accordance with legislation and agency policies and procedures ensuring that risk, probity and transparency requirements are addressed.
- Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract related issues to identify specific business needs and to facilitate compliance within the required timeframes
- Demonstrate knowledge of government Standing offer Arrangements and contracting requirements and frameworks
- Undertake research on relevant supplier markets, capabilities and technology
- Contribute to the development of reports and briefing notes to support procurement initiatives including preparation of high
- quality briefing material and correspondence

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will:

- **State government experience in facilitating end-to-end government procurement processes is essential**:

- Prioritises projects and tasks efficiently, in line with team commitments
- Demonstrates understanding of legislation and policy frameworks
