Are you an experienced administrative professional with a passion for leading and supporting teams?
We are seeking a dedicated **Admin Team Leader** to oversee the clerical team in the dynamic and fast-paced environment of our Cardiac Emergency Department at the Victorian Heart Hospital.
**About the Role**
As the Admin Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising clerical staff, managing daily operations, and ensuring the accurate processing of all patient presentations and admissions. You will also play a key role in the recruitment, training, and development of staff while continuously driving process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the department. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the clerical function within the Cardiac Emergency Department.
- Manage recruitment, training, and rostering for clerical staff.
- Develop, implement, and monitor process improvements to streamline clerical operations.
- Oversee the maintenance of office supplies, including stock, stationery, and kitchen essentials.
- Ensure a high standard of work area presentation and cleanliness.
- Assist with clerical tasks as needed, supporting smooth department operations.
- Maintain up-to-date clerical communication tools.
- Promote health and safety compliance within the department, in line with Monash Health procedures.
- Empower and guide staff to take ownership of their roles and achieve outstanding results.
**Key Qualifications and Skills**:
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Prior experience in staff and medical record systems management (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to relate effectively with staff at all levels.
- Outstanding customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
