Allstaff Australia are seeking Parks Assistants to carry out natural areas’ conservation and maintenance duties.

Ultimately, Parks Assistants are responsible for undertaking duties to support Council’s operations and maintenance of parks, gardens, cemeteries, facilities, street and townscapes; AND to efficiently, safely and effectively use plant and equipment associated with the duties of the position.

**No prior experience is required**; however, a current Drivers Licence is required as is a great work attitude and highly reliable, ability to perform the physical aspects of the role, good customer service, and good understanding and commitment to work health and safety.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Mowing operations in parks & gardens. Accurately operating whipper snipper and mower.
- Application of chemical spraying agents for weeds also by hand.
- Natural area conservation
- Recreational trail construction & maintenance
- Fire trail construction & maintenance
- Soft landscaping
- Conduct self in a professional manner and maintain good working relationships.
- Correctly use and maintain plant and equipment provided, including all personal protective equipment.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Must be Triple Vaccinated against Covid-19 (3rd Booster Shot)
- Must hold a current Australian Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated numeracy, written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound experience in undertaking manual tasks in a safety conscious manner.
