**The Role**:
We currently have five new Area Lead Program Delivery positions working across our catchments. These roles will be based within one of the five regional teams - the Northern (Croydon), Western (Brooklyn), Eastern (Healesville), Central (Bangholme) and Southern (Bangholme).

As the Area Lead you will be responsible for providing professional expertise to a skilled team responsible for ensuring safe, and reliable delivery of the maintenance and minor capital programs and ensuring project and program risks are managed to a high level of standard.

This role will see you manage and coordinate a catchment portfolio of projects being managed by Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and Project Officers with an annual OPEX/CAPEX program of up to $30M and delivery of individual complex projects of up to $10M in value.

The Eastern Area Lead will be required to gain General Fire Fighter accreditation with the ability and motivation to reach and maintain a Level 1 Fire Operations Officer qualification. During Fire Season you will be on a 1 week in every 3 roster, and need to be located within the 25 minutes of the Healesville or Warburton depot.

Your proven people management experience, along with your tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science will see you excel within this role.

**People**:
**Your Skills and Experience**:

- Demonstrated continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance and minor capital programs - ideally this will have collaboration with service providers to embed their systems of work across the program
- Extensive knowledge of asset management processes and objectives.
- Sound knowledge of governance matters and probity and confidentiality requirements.
- Extensive knowledge (as required by the Delivery Region) of, and ability to, supervise internal and external teams delivering civil, grass, strategic fire break, natural resource management maintenance and minor capital programs and projects.
- Strong project management capabilities and experience.
- Excellent financial and commercial acumen skills, including strong financial estimate, budgeting and forecasting capabilities.
- Experience in supporting and enabling a high performance and inclusive culture.
- Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
- Demonstrated safety and wellbeing leadership

Your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required together with a relevant tertiary degree (Engineering, Science or similar) with significant industry experience across the areas of asset management, minor capital and maintenance delivery.
