About the Role

Based in our IT Scheduling team you’ll support high quality operational solutions as well as troubleshooting to provide solutions. These solutions will be delivered via Control-M in both the mainframe and midrange environments. This is an exciting time to join us as we transition to cloud, you’ll join a team who helps each other out and loves what they do, have access to learning and development platforms plus the opportunity to get certified in cloud technologies.

**In this role you’ll get to**:
Analysis, solution design, testing, and implementation of fixes and changes.
Automating operations (batch management via Control-M is essential, file transfers, reporting, etc.)
Respond to operational incidents and service requests generated from daily batch and helpdesk tickets.
Proactively prevent repeat incidents and work on continuous improvement items.
Troubleshooting from active batch values and putting in root cause fixes.
You’ll be On-Call via a roster for after-hours support and compensated for this.

About you

You’ll have previously been supporting and automating system operations via Control-M (batch management, file transfers, reporting, etc.) in a fast paced environment.
You’ll have supported IT operating systems such as Windows, Linux, z/OS which gives you excellent problem-solving skills, as well as trained in ITIL practices.
The ability to understand use code to fix scripts, ideally you will be able to code in Perl or other languages such as PowerShell or JavaScript.
Knowledge of Enterprise Operations and automation tool sets (such as Control-M and related tools).
