We are currently partnering with a large federal government department, experiencing significant growth due to funding to recruit multiple new positions within their team. Currently on offer are both **APS6 and EL1 Finance Business Partner** roles offered on either a 12 month non-ongoing or permanent S26 transfer.

About the role

Reporting to the Director - Finance Business Partnering, the **Finance Business Partner **is responsible for delivery of accurate and timely finance services across the organisation. Working within a team committed to delivering proactive client focused services, you'll be somebody who strives for excellence in everything you deliver.

Some key areas of this role include:

- Lead the preparation of internal and external reporting for a wide range of stakeholders.
- Respond to and resolve a wide range of complex stakeholder queries regarding new projects and acquisitions.
- Developing new and enhancing existing financial models within excel to perform insightful analysis for stakeholders.
- Budget management including liaising with stakeholders, preparation of commentary and tracking of cost/revenue drivers
- Participating in year-end activities - preparing annual reports and portfolio budget statements

About you

Whilst a baseline clearance or prior APS experience is not required for this role, you'll need to have a basic understanding of government reporting structures potentially from a consulting background.
