**About the Role**
As the Mining Manager, you will manage the effective delivery of priorities, budgets and plans for the Branch Mining Strategy, Goals and Targets. The execution of this role will include oversight of the day-to-day operations of the specific Resources Sector contracts, setting and managing standards and performance expectations to ensure the effective, efficient, compliant, and safe operation.
You will be a vital member of the operations team reporting to the Branch Manager for Palletised Express. This role is a key 'Resources customer liaison position' and as such is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a 'customer first' branch operational approach and mind-set, ensuring the management and delivery of customer contractual requirements.
Safety and compliance are of highest importance, so the oversight of this role is to ensure staff are appropriately trained and managed to the levels expected. In this position you will ensure all mining related freight is received, documented, handled, and loaded in the correct manner whilst achieving maximum vehicle utilization at mínimal cost. It is also key responsibility of this function ensuring that you Plan operational and workforce changes on a weekly and monthly basis to ensure annual budgets are achieved together with sustainability in the highest standards of safety, environmental performance, and customer service. You will also link overall branch profitability goals and performance standards with the direct achievement of branch operational results.
Other critical areas such as Lead the branch by putting the 'customer first' and establishing and enhancing a cross functional collaborative approach also fall under the responsibility of this role.

- 2+ years demonstrated experience in Transport and Logistics
- Customer service orientation - detailed understanding and strong curiosity about our customers (e.g., Resources Industry) and what adds value to them
- Hands on experience to lead, support, coach, train and do
- Ability to adapt and manage change
- Ability to identify potential industrial issues
- Demonstrated collaborative nature - seeks to improve overall Team Global Express business results.
