- The Production Superintendent is accountable for leading the operations team to safely achieve production targets for the process plant. Central to this is a strong focus on building and managing a high-class supervisor level leadership group across the operations team.

**In The Role You Will**:

- Manage the workforce resourcing, in terms of skills and level, within the approved levels to ensure delivery of the operations plan. This includes recruitment and performance management practises are held to a high standard.
- Foster a strong safety culture based on transparent and open communication with the operations team, leading to the execution of high quality Field Leadership interactions, hazard reporting, incident reporting and incident management.
- Lead safety investigations into serious injuries and incidents, and ensuring these skills are built into the supervisor level for lower potential incidents.
- Manage the development and implementation of plans for operational activities including isolations, mill relines and safety systems of work for the Carrapateena processing plant.
- Ensure approval and adherence to daily and weekly operational plans for production, isolations and inbound / outbound logistics.
- Manage compliance and support of the various key activities of the operation team to the relevant site, company and legal standard in consultation with the Processing Manager.
- Review and approval of the process plant training framework including all relevant documentation for operational responsibilities.
- Ensure the implementation improvement projects within the process plant with a specific focus on reducing safety risk, reducing operating cost and improving revenue.
- Support the ongoing operation of the tailings storage facility, and ensuring that the operation of the facility fully complies with the operations and monitoring manual for the facility.
- Heavy engagement in the planning and organisation for fixed plant maintenance shutdowns.

**About You**:

- Extensive operational experience in minerals processing plants, with several years supervisory experience.
- Previous exposure in the operation of base metal concentrator plants, including flotation.
- Clearly demonstrated safety leadership capability, including facilitation of incident investigations.
- Previous experience in recruitment and capability development of technician and supervisor level employees.
- Experience in the management of operating cost and capital budgets.
- Previous experience in the development of training documentation and systems to support an operational workforce.
- Ability to deliver process improvement projects and foster a culture of innovation and improvement.
- Experience in production planning, including the development of operational and shutdown plans.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise the development of execution plans for isolations and permitting for process plant shutdowns.
- Exposure to the management of surface mobile equipment and tailings storage facilities is considered advantageous.
