The newly created traineeship position is part of a two-year rotational program that provides exposure to all areas of health support services, including areas like cleaning, linen distribution, procurement and contract management, executive support, administration and many more The position is designed to provide recent high school leavers with broad exposure to many different areas of healthcare support services, helping to set you up for success in your career.

**Where you'll be working**
Throughout the program, you will complete multiple rotations and could be based anywhere across NSLHD. For example, this could include a temporary placement at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, followed by another placement at the St Leonards campus.

**What you'll be doing**
- Immersive work placements: Trainees may work directly with multiple support service managers across NSLHD
- Fully funded national accredited study: Trainees will complete a fully-funded Diploma of Leadership and Management via TAFE NSW
- Supportive professional development: Trainees will receive mentorship and coaching opportunities, along with connection to professional development, education and training to help them succeed in a career in NSLHD.

- Recent high school graduate (within the last 5 years), with a strong commitment to pursuing a career in health service management and a demonstrated eagerness to complete a traineeship.

- Demonstrates ability to proactively manage competing priorities and adhere to strict timelines.
- Demonstrated capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team.
- Excellent communication skills including excellent spelling and comprehension, excellent verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to deal confidently and courteously with patients and health professionals.
