**About our role**

ISH24 has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Health & Safety Inspector specialising in confined spaces to ensure all company and contracting personnel are educated and supported in understanding their safety responsibilities at our customers sites.

**Your main responsibilities will include**:

- Conducting or participating in risk assessments, audits and inspections of site work activities and conditions, including high risk tasks and shutdown activity
- Conducting Active Field Leadership interactions and supporting site with the program
- Providing an advisory and supportive role to Department Heads into WHS legislative matters, inclusive of compliance, incident/accident investigation processes and reporting requirements
- Actively monitoring and reporting employee and contractor performance against ISH24 Risk & Principal Hazard Standards
- Monitoring the completion of recommendations and actions from incident investigations, inspections and audits, including inputting data, producing reports and managing the action register
- The facilitation and coordination of the site Safety Committee meetings
- Assisting with the incident investigation process and supporting the, drafting and presentation of accident/incident and reports
- Assisting with the provision of daily, weekly, monthly reports including statutory reports for DMIRS

**Required skills and experience**:

- Knowledge and experience in confined space rules and regulations
- Desired but not essential - ERT Experience including training courses in: Firefighting, Breathing apparatus, Vertical Rescue, Underground BG4, Hazmat, Road Crash Rescue, Confined Space rescue
- Current Australian driver's license
- Experience in a similar role within Mining
- Sound knowledge of Mines Regulations, OHS and Duty of care
- Good computer skills
