Maxima, in partnership with the City of Adelaide, are looking for an outdoor enthusiast to undertake a 3-year traineeship within Horticulture.

This role at The City of Adelaide will see you maintain and transform horticultural and biodiversity sites, including streetscapes, squares, and parklands of Adelaide. With the magnitude of parklands, it takes a large team to maintain these, and if successful you could be involved in this

Not only will you receive hands-on industry experience alongside experienced tradespeople, but you will also achieve a nationally recognised
**Certificate III in Horticulture.**

If successful, you could be eligible for Government incentives of up to $5000 across the first 2-years.

**Duties Include**:

- Garden and grounds maintenance
- Mulch, prune, pot, and water plants
- Brush cutting and mowing
- Pest and weed control
- Irrigation maintenance

**About You**:

- Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools
- Strong work ethic; reliable and punctual
- Ability to prioritise time and tasks when working under pressure
- Works effectively within a team and unsupervised
- Great communication skills
- Have a can-do attitude and willing to learn

**Role Requirements**:

- Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a preemployment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous experience in gardening or similar trades (advantageous)
