We are looking for a Functions & Events Duty Manager to oversee the operational aspects of functions, including setup and pack-down, managing event staff and suppliers and ensuring all compliance and safety requirements are met.
The role will ensure operational support which includes planning, coordination, and successful delivery of a wide variety of functions: from community events, shows, and birthday celebrations to conferences and other special occasions. This hands-on role will work closely with the Functions & Events Manager to ensure each event runs smoothly, stays within budget, and delivers a five-star experience.

**Who We Are Looking For**:
We’re seeking an experienced and passionate hospitality professional who thrives on detail, teamwork, and delivering exceptional customer service.
**As the Functions & Events Duty Manager, you will**:
- Support the end-to-end coordination of functions, shows, and special events
- Work across departments to ensure seamless event logistics and execution
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, licensing, and Club policies
- Monitor and maintain budgets, event profitability, and reporting
- Supervise and support staff during events, ensuring all standards are upheld
- Contribute ideas for continual service improvement and venue utilization
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist with planning and executing shows, private events, conferences, and more
- Coordinate set-up and pack-down of events in line with Club standards
- Provide on-the-ground supervision during events to ensure excellence in service
- Maintain inventory and event resources (linen, equipment, etc.)
- Communicate and liaise with internal teams to align event logistics
- Assist with costing and quoting, and ensure accurate record keeping
- Ensure compliance with WHS standards and emergency procedures
- Deliver exceptional guest experience and handle client feedback professionally
**Pre-requisites**:
- 2+ years of experience in Events or Functions Management, or relevant Hospitality Operations
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
- A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
