Full-Time Functions & Events Duty ManagerJoin a dynamic team delivering memorable experiences at Caloundra RSL ClubWe are looking for a Functions & Events Duty Manager to oversee the operational aspects of functions, including setup and pack-down, managing event staff and suppliers and ensuring all compliance and safety requirements are met.The role will ensure operational support which includes planning, coordination, and successful delivery of a wide variety of functions: from community events, shows, and birthday celebrations to conferences and other special occasions. This hands-on role will work closely with the Functions & Events Manager to ensure each event runs smoothly, stays within budget, and delivers a five-star experience.Located in the heart of Caloundra, Caloundra RSL Club is a vibrant hub of entertainment, dining, and community spirit. As a proud non-profit organization, we support veterans and foster community connection through our commitment to service and excellence.What We Offer:Full-time permanent position with annual salaryHalf-price gym membership for yourself and your partner (no lock-in contract)Free access to wellness programsComplementary barista-made coffee & soft drinkFree parking onsiteLeadership development opportunities through our in-house training programsParticipation in our employee recognition and rewards programRobust onboarding and supportA vibrant and supportive team environmentWho We Are Looking For:We're seeking an experienced and passionate hospitality professional who thrives on detail, teamwork, and delivering exceptional customer service.As the Functions & Events Duty Manager, you will:Support the end-to-end coordination of functions, shows, and special eventsWork across departments to ensure seamless event logistics and executionBuild and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholdersEnsure compliance with relevant laws, licensing, and Club policiesMonitor and maintain budgets, event profitability, and reportingSupervise and support staff during events, ensuring all standards are upheldContribute ideas for continual service improvement and venue utilizationKey Responsibilities:Assist with planning and executing shows, private events, conferences, and moreCoordinate set-up and pack-down of events in line with Club standardsProvide on-the-ground supervision during events to ensure excellence in serviceMaintain inventory and event resources (linen, equipment, etc.)Communicate and liaise with internal teams to align event logisticsAssist with costing and quoting, and ensure accurate record keepingEnsure compliance with WHS standards and emergency proceduresDeliver exceptional guest experience and handle client feedback professionallyPre-requisites:2+ years of experience in Events or Functions Management, or relevant Hospitality OperationsResponsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificationStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsA proactive, solutions-focused approach with attention to detailAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as requiredA passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiencesCaloundra RSL Services Club Inc is passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
