Cellar Hand

Moncreiffs Winery is a medium-sized contract winemaking facility in Nagambie, Victoria. We are a supportive, dedicated and fun team with a serious commitment to safety. Our customers, including McPherson Wines, trust us to consistently produce quality wine.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed full-time Cellar Hand who shows good attention to detail. This is a hands-on role, encompassing all areas of cellar work. This includes transfers and rackings, additions, filtration, barrel work, and of course excellent hygiene and record keeping. Working in a close-knit team, this position reports to the Cellar Manager and may involve shift work at times through the year.

Importantly, this role also encompasses the vintage period (typically 10-12 weeks beginning in late-January). Cellar hands will work extended hours and be involved in fruit receival, ferment management and pressing operations. This is an exciting time of year during which we work hard but have a lot of fun along the way.

Job Requirements

Although experience is favoured, training will be provided to the successful applicant to support them in safely performing all aspects of the role. A positive attitude, good communication skills and a collaborative mindset are all crucial.
