**About the Role**
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Communications Assistant to join our dynamic and vibrant team at the Healthy Trajectories Child and Youth Disability Research Hub. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our communications and consumer involvement efforts, working closely with the Communications Coordinator. This position offers a unique chance to contribute to important research and events while fostering a supportive and inclusive team culture within the Department of Paediatrics at the Melbourne Children's Campus.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Produce and publish engaging social media content, including posts, videos, and stories.
- Update and maintain the team's website with relevant content and materials.
- Assist in creating visually appealing knowledge translation products aligned with research findings.
- Ensure digital communications meet accessibility guidelines and maintain consistent branding across platforms.
**Who We Are Looking For**
You have a keen eye for detail, from formatting to typography, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. You thrive both independently and collaboratively, driven by a commitment to excellence.
You will also have:
- A minimum certificate qualification in a related field and an appropriate level of expertise gained through a combination of experience, training and education.
- Previous experience producing content for social media platforms and adding/updating content on established websites.
- Demonstrated experience with photo, video and audio editing, including adding captioning to videos and tagging documents to optimise accessibility.

- This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and _valid Working with Children Check_ to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone._
