**About You**
You are a dynamic, high performing individual with considerable experience in operations and / or Open Space management at a senior level. - Key responsibilities: _
- Management of operational safety; and contribution to successfully meeting safety targets and initiatives
- Management of the safety of self, colleagues, contractors and the general public
- Management of the safe and appropriate use of all relevant plant and equipment
- Management of ensuring all safety related procedures are in place, staff are appropriately trained and a strong safety culture continues to grow
- Management of ASSURE reporting within Region 2; implementation of incident investigations and appropriate actions
- Management of financial activities within the Region 2 teams and overall profitability
- Management of budget preparation and ongoing financial management in Region 2 to meet all targets
- Adhere and manage operations to contract specifications; prepare Annual Service Plans and communicate progress to Stakeholders as required
- Management of reaching business targets by identifying and contributing cost-cutting ideas/initiatives in Region 2, discussing alternatives to contractual obligations and finding solutions to obstacles
- Identify capital works projects within Region 2 to assist Capital Works team meet their targets and more, please see position description.
- To be successful in this role you will have:_
- Minimum of six years of proven experience in operations management at a senior level
- Experience managing large teams effectively
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to negotiate/resolve conflict
- Proven ability to build relationships with customers and to negotiate contracts
- Strong ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) to internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated financial management experience
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and reporting commitments
- Demonstrated resource planning and time management skills
- Ability to thoroughly understand business needs in relation to operational requirements
