**About the opportunity**
**_ This is a casual position supporting the Wyong area. Payrate - $36.54 plus 25% casual loading, plus super._**
You will provide appropriate activities for children from birth to five years old which develop their play and social skills while also providing their parents with support, information, social connections, community referrals, and opportunities to develop their parenting skills.
**As a Casual Playgroup Facilitator your role will include**:
- Facilitate supported playgroups including programming, set up, facilitating and pack away of children’s weekly activities.
- Plan and implement diverse and age appropriate developmental activities for children attending the playgroup including transition to school.
- Develop and maintain working relationships between other services and families to improve health and wellbeing of families attending the playgroup.
- Promote the Playgroup to service users and providers on the Central Coast.
- Provide families with parenting information, support, advocacy, and referral/links to mainstream and specialist services and activities in their local community.
**About You**
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education fields.
- Experience in facilitating and developing diverse, age-appropriate activities for children aged 0 to 5 years.
- Clear understanding of needs of and issues affecting vulnerable families.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain networks and partnerships within the local community.
- Demonstrated understanding of Early Childhood development and attachment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be strength based, person centred and trauma informed in your practice.
- Current drivers’ licence and own vehicle.
