**About the role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement processes and systems that will support children with additional needs, including children with disabilities and developmental delays, medical needs, and children who have other needs based upon social and cultural factors.
- Responsible for creating a suite of resources and materials that will improve our service’s access to current and evidence-informed inclusive practices, which will contribute to a higher quality of education and care of all children within our settings.
- Develop and implement specific policies and procedures, strategies and initiatives that will improve access and inclusion for children with additional needs.
- Collaborate with the Program and Practice team to build capacity and provide direction and guidance on curriculum pedagogy and inclusive practices.
- Support services to engage in ongoing reflective practices and continuous improvement through the development of a Strategic Improvement Plan (SIP)

**Selection Criteria**
- Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent as a minimum; or tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood. Any related disciplines in Allied Health or Disability may also be considered.
- Have an in-depth understanding of children’s learning and development, particularly children with additional or diverse needs.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably across multiple states and territories
- A high level of understanding and knowledge of current evidence-based education and care inclusion principles and practices, including awareness of current and emerging practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Kidsoft preferred
- Working with Children (Blue Card)/Working with Children Check/Working with Vulnerable People (State-specific)
- Experience working with or in the early learning sector and participating in reflective dialogue that examines the impact of early childhood practice
- Experience in the delivery of inclusion, community development or related programs
