Workforce Capability Advisor

Our client is a national regulatory body, who promote the safety and protection of our marine environment and combat ship-sourced pollution. They provide the infrastructure for safety of navigation in Australian waters, and maintain a national search and rescue service for the maritime and aviation sectors.
**The Opportunity**:
You will have the opportunity to work on a strategic workforce plan that identifies a number of priority areas for the organisations workforce over the next five years. This plan outlines the people related initiatives they will put in place to ensure they are equipped to deliver on objectives into the future.
**The Role**:
The Workforce Capability Advisor will be responsible for the design and delivery of the mapping processes of the proposed Capability Framework across all roles. There are two components to the Capability Framework: Core Capabilities and Occupational Specific Capabilities.
In this role you will:
- Perform a range of activities designed to inform, engage and support the progress the Core Capability Framework including leading and facilitating workshops to assist managers with the appropriate capability levels for their occupation groups
- Create and maintain documentation, spreadsheets and tools to provide an organisational capability map
- Provide specialist analysis and insight into business systems and processes to identify, define and address gaps in business requirements, identify opportunities, improvements and recommend solutions
**The Ideal Person****:
To be successful in this role you will be able to:
- Demonstrate previous experience in a HR strategy and have tertiary level qualifications in the disciplines of Human Resource Management, Commerce/Business, Psychology or equivalent workplace experience
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts and influence change
- Demonstrate analytical skills including the ability to collate, analyse and interpret data for the purpose of identifying themes and making recommendations to inform decision-making
- Regularly report on status of activities, alerts to issues and solution options
- Seek specialist and technical advice as required
**Salary / Rate**:
- $75/hr - $85/hr + 10.5% Super
- Flexible working arrangements
- Some travel my be required for this role
