Our client is an iconic Australian organisation currently seeking a VMware Technical Specialist to join on on a 3 month contract to support the organisations BAU activities.
As the Technical Specialist for the VMware team you will manage incident, request, problem, change, configuration and knowledge management within that space. The VMware team provide 24 x 7 operational support for on prem virtual environment and remote sites that provide that underpin almost all technology solutions. This role will work across both BAU and projects to provide technical assistance where required. You will play a key role in supporting the team with BAU, project work along with having a sustainable work life balance for all VMware resources
**Skills and Experience**:
- Previous experience within VMWare building and supporting secure code pipelines CI/CD
- Experience in managing large, complex and critical operational IT environments in a 24/7 capacity
- Strong experience with configuration management tools such as puppet, Chef, or Anisble. Experience in unit and systems tests are also desirable
- Strong experience with administrating and troubleshooting various operating systems
Our client is offering a 3 month contract. Offices are based in the Melbourne CBD and the client requires someone on site work.
