**The Opportunity**

We’re looking for a talented Lead Product Designer with a strong customer and design orientation to take a lead role in an exciting new phase of investment in customer experience at Pet Circle. The role will lead a team of Product Designers, be part of the Customer leadership team (Product and Data) and work closely with development squads.

Working with our teams, this person will play a lead role in researching and developing the experience our customers have when interacting with Pet Circle’s website and mobile app through all parts of a customer lifecycle and across multiple customer journeys. The role and team extend to cover the design of internal systems used by Pet Circle staff.

We are looking for a person who has a passion for contemporary design thinking practices, can work at a conceptual and strategic level but also has exceptional attention to detail and a passion for creating functional, delightful, and beautiful user experiences. As a Lead Product Designer at Pet Circle, you will work in a fast-paced, collaborative setting with engineers, product managers, and your team of product designers to bring our evolving web, mobile and internal app experiences to life.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of Product Designers, ensuring we have the right mix of skills and team size to meet our aspirations
- Working closely with product managers, business stakeholders and engineers, lead the customer experience dimension of the next phase of investment and evolution in our website/app experience
- Lead and advocate the design thinking process by demonstrating and communicating its value within product and wider business teams so that it’s embedded in our ways of working
- Lift the maturity of our product design capability (methods, practices, tooling) across all parts of the delivery lifecycle
- Own and drive the development of a comprehensive design system
- Sponsor the use of user research and testing through the development lifecycle as a way to validate ideas and deliver experiences that delight our customers
- Collaborate with Marketing & Brand teams to ensure alignment with visual elements and tone of voice while also championing best practice user experience principles.
- Connect the dots between multiple projects so that together they form a cohesive experience

**Role Location**

At Pet Circle we believe that collaboration and team connection is key for success. This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement of 2 days in our pet friendly offices and the remaining working from home.
