What will you do?

The roles have accountability for the management of ICT and Forensics risks, business continuity exercising and reviews and compliance and governance activities across the Operational Science & Technology (OS&T) Command. It provides strong leadership to inspire a risk culture and ensures OS&T Command activities align with the Enterprise Risk and Business Continuity Frameworks.

**Responsibilities may include**:
Management of OS&T alignment and implementation of Enterprise Risk and Business Continuity Frameworks
Identification and management of risks and risk management activities
Assessment of controls and control environments
Promotion of legislative and regulatory compliance
Maintenance of the OS&T Critical Business Activity Register
Management of OS&T Business Continuity activities
Prepare OS&T to manage business continuity disruptions
Alignment of business continuity and incident management activities
Coordination of responses and preparation of high level briefs to Senior Executive
Oversight of quality and timely information and advice to AFP appointees

You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.

Essential Requirements

You must be an Australian Citizen.
A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Qualifications (and/or demonstrated equivalent experience) in a Risk or Business Continuity Management.
Demonstrated success in a similar Senior Risk/ Business Continuity role.
Relevant qualification or extensive experience and knowledge in area of expertise.
Desirable Requirements

Strong communication skills and the ability to work across Management levels and influence outcomes
Self-motivated, able to use initiate, be innovative and have a strong commitment to achieve business objectives
Knowledge of Incident Management
Experience in uplifting capability through technology or process changes
Ability to work with a diverse team
Strong reporting skills, written, analytical and statistical
Additional Information

This position has been advertised in multiple locations and while the core of the team is based in Canberra, interstate applicants are welcome but must be prepared to travel to Canberra as required.
