Our purpose-driven charity is looking for a part-time Technology Retail Specialist to join our successful Technology team.

**We need someone who loves sales, who is a great communicator and has a knowledge and passion for technology. We’re growing both our retail sales at our Low Vision Centre and our online sales experience - and you’ll be a key part of both.**

**About See Differently with the Royal Society for the Blind**

***
We’ve been around for a long time - 138 years in fact. Over that time, we’ve seen and learnt a lot. That makes us the most experienced and knowledgeable provider of vision services in South Australia. But our range of services is also what makes us stand apart. We’re the largest provider in South Australia, offering people who are blind or have low vision support that ranges from assistance dogs to assistive technologies.

**The opportunity**

See Differently is looking for a part-time (23 hours per week) Technology Retail Specialist to join our Technology Team. You’ll need to have some sales experience and some runs on the board. We’re looking for someone who enjoys sales with enthusiasm, the skills to understand our clients’ needs and empathy. Of course, you’ll also need the confidence and knowledge to be able to recommend the right products for every individual.

You’ll need to enjoy technology and have at least some level of understanding of new technology. But if you haven’t worked with assistive technology before that’s ok, we can provide training in the specific products we offer.

You’ll also need to understand the funding sources we have available and be able to explain the full range of other services we offer.

**Your duties will include**:

- Provide an advisory service to clients, staff and other stakeholders who are supporting or seeking to support people who are blind or vision impaired.
- As a sales representative ensure clients have the right products and services, identify new client leads and pitch to prospective clients.
- Demonstrate and provide training/support for assistive technology equipment, including electronic magnification and other hardware equipment, to clients (and staff as required).
- Demonstrate and provide training / support for clients utilising mainstream computer software as well as specialist computer software.
- Ensure quality client records are gathered and maintained, and data is collected to assess and monitor the effectiveness and adequacy of services to meet necessary service agreement obligations.

**What we can offer you**
We have a successful and established Technology team, and we can offer:

- A brilliant role where you make a difference every day.
- Flexible work arrangements - talk to us about your preferences
- Attractive salary with the added benefit of salary packaging to increase your take home pay. (All staff have access to up to $15,900 tax free, and a further $2650 tax free for meal and entertainment purchases.)
- A supportive, collaborative team environment

**Your skills and expertise**

We’re looking for someone with the right skills and expertise to join the team. You’ll have:

- A proven history of meeting sales goals demonstrating a highly ethical and consultative approach to selling.
- Great experience in a retail sales environment and ability to work within an online sales environment too.
- Well-developed customer service skills and a commitment to providing quality service and implementing continuous improvement.
- Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent.
- Demonstrated people skills, including communication and conflict resolution required to deliver and foster relationships within a team.
- Knowledge of relevant disability legislation, duty of care and access rights.
- Good organisational, planning, and prioritising skills, including the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The position description is available at

**Please submit your resume and cover letter of no more than 2 pages explaining why you’d be perfect for the role.
