This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government strategy, managing investment priorities, funding, and allocations.

**About the role**
The Financial Analyst is responsible for management reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting, project accounting, data analytics and financial analysis.
- Responsibilities:_
- Provide analysis on financial performance
- Management of budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Preparing briefings and options papers on technical matters
- Identify financial management and business processes on group level
- Business partner with cross-functional project teams focusing on business improvement projects and financial sustainability initiatives.
- Legislative and accounting standard compliance
- Provide “Bottom Up” financial budgets and forecasts and provide commentary on financial statements and other financial management reporting and analysis.
- Monitoring of monthly results for transactional issues with accruals, prepayments, capitalisation, and project costing allocations.
- Provide audits on financials for the department and divisions within the organisation
- Provide compliance-based financial reporting
- Complete and review statutory reporting requirements
- Fulfil adhoc reporting requirements set by management

**About you**
- SAP experience
- Previous experience working as a Financial Analyst preferably within a large complex organization
- Government experience is a plus
- Permanent resident or citizen
