**About the role**

The role of a Court Assessment & Prosecutions Officer is to:

- Conduct court assessments to determine an offender's suitability for a court order
- Facilitate the variation or cancellation of an order
- Prosecute individuals who fail to comply with their court orders.
- Provide high quality evidence-based advice to the judiciary.

The position will be required to adhere to local or regional rostering arrangements and other staffing management practices as directed.

**About you**
- experience or knowledge of court processes, prosecutions or related areas
- an ability to provide human services in needs assessment and development of interventions
- capability to provide evidence based advice and recommendations to the court that maximise offender responsiveness interventions
- an ability to manage offenders exhibiting challenging behaviours and escalate as required.

**MANDATORY VACCINATIONS**:
The department is committed to providing and maintaining a working environment which is safe and without risk to the health of its employees consistent with the department's obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Vic). - Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)
