**Description**:
The WHS Advisor will provide strategic and operational leadership, support and advice in all matters pertaining to WHS and compliance. The WHS Advisor will be required to establish best practice benchmarks, ensure consistency and drive continuous improvement in WHS, compliance and training systems.
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, your key areas of responsibility & accountability will include, but not limited to:
- Coach and mentor relevant stakeholders and support the team with training of WHS policies and procedures to improve business benchmarks, departmental performance and embed safety leadership
- Bringing to life PharmaCare principles and values and driving continuous improvement in WHS performance and culture practices for a proactive risk management safety culture
- Lead and drive WHS compliance throughout all aspects of the business, ensuring compliance with WHS policies, procedures and relevant legislation
- Facilitate regular, site-specific safety audits and inspections, safety risk assessments, incident investigations, hazard identification, risk assessment and control
- Develop and report on safety performance including incidents, hazards, damages, compliance and non-conformance. Assessing and reducing lost time injuries (LTIs)
- Create, implement and undertake reviews of existing WHS training programs, work procedures and policies to ensure continuous improvement
- Support the effective implementation of safety management systems, strategies and initiatives across the business and introduce projects to ensure safety objectives and targets are met
- Manage end-to-end Workers Compensation and WHS-related administration and establish / maintain WHS database to comply with company and local regulations, working with internal and external auditors / authorities
- Effectively represent PharmaCare externally with stakeholders including WHS/OHS and environmental regulators, community groups, contractors, customers and the communities in which PharmaCare operates.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**Qualifications**:
Degree qualified in a WHS related discipline
Experience
A proven manufacturing background with minimum of 5 years’ experience (preferred)
A strong awareness of and commitment to safety management
Time management, analytical and problem-solving skills
Driven and energetic personality
High level of attention to detail, initiative and strong work ethic
Ability to work with all levels of the organisation from shop floor to senior management
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Commitment to Continuous Improvement
Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MRP and/or ERP systems
