About the role

As a result of our continued growth we are looking for a full time casual Store person to primarily assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers, picking orders, putaway's and cross docking freight,for a Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm shift.

Your key responsibilities:

• Operate counterbalance forklifts in freezer and chilled environments
• Operate high reach trucks and other equipment as required in freezer and chilled environments
• Loading and unloading of trucks
• Staging orders and cross dock freight
• Checking and reviewing inwards and outwards orders for completeness
• Preloading trucks as required
• Accurately label customer product and freight as required
• Record and report to appropriate personnel any product discrepancies or damages.
• Maintain clean working environment.
• Consolidate stock holdings where necessary.
• Repack and stack customer freight as required
• Supports and reinforces the organisations safety and health policy
• Report all safety hazards and incidents
• Report any issues regarding cleanliness and/or damages within the facility
• Take all reasonable action to prevent accidents
• Adhere to approved safe work methods to protect own safety and health and safety of others
• Ensure that correct use is made of all equipment provided for safety and health purposes including the wearing of personal protective equipment and clothing.
• Be familiar with emergency procedures.

To be successful, you will have:

• A forklift license, including experience driving a high reach
• Ability to work within SOP's
• An approachable and personable attitude
• The ability to work well within a team environment and individually
• Sound communication and time management skills
• Pride in your work and an enthusiastic, 'can do' attitude
• A commitment to workplace health and safety

Ideally, you will also have:

• Experience in a cold storage operation
