Do you love ice cream, enjoy working independently, and feel confident driving a vintage Kombi? We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic **Ice Cream Operator** to run our 1974 Kombi ice cream van, serving up delicious dairy-free soft serve at markets, festivals, and private events

**About the Role**:
As our Ice Cream Operator, you’ll be responsible for:

- **Driving & Setup**: Driving the 1974 manual Kombi to events (pickup/drop-off from Mt Gravatt), setting up and packing down.
- **Serving Ice Cream**: Preparing and serving soft serve and other light food items.
- **Customer Service**: Providing a friendly, engaging experience for customers.
- **Cleaning & Maintenance**: Keeping the van and equipment clean and in good working order.
- **Event Flexibility**: Attending events primarily in Brisbane, with some in the Gold Coast & Sunshine Coast.
- **Creativity & Growth**: Helping shape the menu and suggesting events to attend.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- A confident **manual driver** (must be comfortable driving a 1974 Kombi).
- Availability **Friday - Sunday** (some weekday shifts may be available).\
- Hospitality, food service, or event experience is a plus but not essential.
- A friendly, independent worker who enjoys interacting with customers.
- Reliability and attention to detail, especially in food prep and cleanliness.
- Previous experience with soft serve ice cream or frozen yogurt is highly regarded.

**What We Offer**:

- Pay - Paid under the Travelling Show Award, meaning a higher base rate (but no weekend penalties). You will be paid from pick up to drop off.

- Independence - Mostly working solo, with support from a manager or a junior at larger events.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $23.46 - $35.03 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 25 per week
