Recruiting Part Time Safeguarding & Compliance Manager

INCA HOME SERVICES is a small growing company providing a range of home care services to help the elderly, young people, people with disabilities and people suffering with mental health to continue to live independently in their own homes.

Our highly-skilled and passionate team is dedicated to supporting our Participants necessary for them to do so.

Our services expand throughout Sydney, Central Coast and Newcastle area.

Role Responsibilities;
- The role consists of contributing to the development and effective implementation of new and existing quality and safeguarding frameworks through the following activities:

- Investigate incidents and complaints fairly and impartially
- Provide recommendations, training to overcome issues in line with our policies and procedures, NDIS and DCJ guidelines.
- Coordinate follow ups with internal stakeholders to ensure requirements and tasks relating to Incidents and Reportable Incidents are completed within the timeframe required.
- Record and keep track of incidents and complaints.
- Joining in staff meetings to contribute to staff’s awareness of the Quality and Safeguards incidents scheme.
- Conduct internal audit programme and any additional tasks and project support as required
- Assist with updating, improving and maintaining policies and procedures
- Promote a healthy and safe workplace through safe working methods, processes and practices
- Maintain WHS compliance across the entire company
- Identify, record, report hazards, accidents, injuries and health issues
- Assist with investigation of accidents and establish ways to solve for the issues

Essential Eligibility Criteria;
- 2 year experience in community service sector case work management role or compliance role.
- Knowledge of the NDIS Act 2013, rules, NDIS Practice Standards and DCJ guidelines.
- Cert IV in WHS or Greater
- Knowledge of reporting onto the NDIS safe guard commission portal.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a proven ability to successfully lead a team of staff
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-developed organisational skills including experience in determining work priorities, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated experience with audit processes and procedures
- High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain relationships within a team, with auditors, and with various stakeholders
- High level of problem solving skills
- Excellent work ethic
