About the Role
As Head of Department, Student Services you will lead a shared educational vision focused on providing quality teaching and learning outcomes for all students. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Lead school AIP strategy of Successful Students, Endless Opportunities, Empowered Communities.
- Teach 1 line curriculum
- Promote school identity and culture, inclusive of:

- Presentation, conduct, organisation, routines and procedures
- Leading assemblies for year level
- Acknowledgement and celebration of student success
- Wellbeing and relationships
- Attendance
- Positive behaviour for learning

Curriculum and Assessment
- Formalise and implement a synchronous and responsive pastorel care and wellbeing curriculum underpinned by PERMAH and PBL.
- Provide teacher professional development and resources to support them to deliver weekly BCC lessons.
- Develop individualised strategies to improve student performance.
- Collaborate with HOD Inclusion, Curriculum HODS and teachers and share information and strategies for success.

People and Pedagogy
- Support staff, students and parents by encouraging development of a positive and inclusive learning environment within and beyond the classroom.
- Build productive relationships with parents and engage them to support student learning.
- Engage in collegial observations and feedback.
- Visit classes on a formal and informal basis.
- APDP plans for staff members identified in APDP Strategy.
- Support students within cohorts with regards to attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing.
- Implement support provisions in consultation with stakeholders
- Lead management of serious breaches of Student Code of Conduct.
- Enforcement of attendance as per attendance policy.

Data and Reporting
- Identify and analyse year level data to support student case management.
- Support and implement PBL ideals and respond to PBL data related to cohort.
- Support teachers with reporting through communication regarding case managed student.
- Collaborate and consult with year level Deputy Principal to implement innovations appropriate to cohort trends.
