**Position Information**:
Quakers Hill East Public School is located in North Western Sydney and has a student enrolment of 720 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school culture is supportive, nurturing and inclusive with students, staff, parents and the wider community working together to promote school excellence. Teachers spend time together in teams to work with the Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction and team leaders during Collaborative Inquiry (CI) sessions. These sessions follow a model based on Lyn Sharratt's work to collaboratively interrogate data in a knowledge-building process.

Situated in Acacia Gardens the school is located in the northwest growth corridor and as a result the school has recently had an infrastructure upgrade which includes the building of 12 learning spaces, a dance and drama studio, a technology hub plus an extension of the administration building. The completed works were officially opened by the Hon. Sarah Mitchell MP in November 2019.

Quakers Hill East Public School is supported by a multicultural community. 69% of our students have a language background other than English, and 58% require some level of EAL/D (English as an Additional Language or Dialect) support. Punjabi, Hindi and Gujarati are the most dominant languages spoken at home after English. 0.1% of students identify as Aboriginal. Quakers Hill East Public School has a combination of experienced and early career teachers.

**Selection Criteria**:

- In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with demonstrated educational expertise as a leader of teaching and learning.
- Proven ability to foster the connection between student wellbeing, learning, and achievement, to enable improvement.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills with the capability and commitment to building collaborative teams based on strong relational trust.
- Commitment as a leader and co-learner to foster and engage in collaborative inquiry to improve professional knowledge and practice, engaging, inspiring and motivating others.
- Demonstrated ability to promote an inclusive and enabling culture whilst working in partnership with students, staff, parents/carers and the wider school community.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
