**Trades Assistant - ACT**

Digga is Australia's leading manufacturer of Machinery attachments for the Earthmoving & Construction industry. A multi-award winning, global company, with 5 state of the art facilities worldwide, our product & passion for providing total customer solutions is second to none.

The opportunity now exists for a professional and driven Trades Assistant to join our team in ACT. As a Trades Assistant, you will provide support to the Service Department as well as assisting with day-to-day tasks of the branch.

To be successful in this role, you must be adaptable and display a high level of integrity, honesty and reliability. In addition, you will be mechanically minded, have an eye for detail and not afraid to get your hands dirty.

**To be successful you will have**:

- Two years in a similar role
- Current forklift ticket and a drivers’ licence
- Mechanical aptitude
- Background in hydraulics and small engines
- Excellent time management skills
- Basic Computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Carrying out onsite preparation, service and repairs of machinery attachments
- Assist with detecting, diagnosing and troubleshooting faults
- Devise test procedures and supervise test activities
- Completion of paperwork including timesheets, service report, repair logs.
- High level of customer service both on site and over the phone
- General branch activities including loading/unloading trucks and warehousing

Product knowledge in earthmoving attachments will be an advantage, as is an understanding of hydraulics and electrical circuits. This is a full-time permanent position.
