About the role

The Manager Claims Delivery is a key member of the Claims leadership team and manages teams that provide end to end claims management to support members on their path back to work and health.

Key responsibilities:
Lead multiple claims operations teams to manage a diverse caseload of complex life, disability insurance and income protection claims and implementing proactive claims management strategies to optimise both member and business outcomes.

Create a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement and innovation in relation to service, quality and productivity leading to improvements to best practice claims management.

Proactively manage resources, retention, performance and workflow to ensure consistent service delivery in accordance with the Board Mandate and SLA’s and regulatory requirements.

Assist in the implementation of QInsure quality framework, policy, procedures and guideline.

Provide coaching, development and technical expertise to build claims management capability.

Successful integration of new products, processes and procedures across the claims group.

Develop relationships with the Trustee to gain alignment on claims management philosophy and the achievement of service level mandates.

About you

Tertiary qualification in Business or related discipline.

Extensive experience in claims assessment and management of complex cases.

Expert knowledge of group insurance products, as well as relevant regulatory, legislative and industry requirements.

Ability to work with and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Proven experience in leading, managing and motivating teams to successfully achieve organisational objectives.

Demonstrated experience in implementing initiatives to increase quality, service and cost efficiency.

Ability to review reporting, statistical and financial information to identify trends and emerging issues and to provide recommendations for consideration.

Demonstrated ability to clarify ambiguities, reconcile differences and resolve difficult issues
