**About the role**
We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a **Claims Manager**, you’ll provide professional claims management services to members, relating to life and disability insurance claims. You’ll benefit from a comprehensive in-house training program that equips you with essential claims management skills and knowledge, while also fostering the development of innovative claims strategies.
Day to day, you'll:
- Assess claims for the benefit entitlement by reviewing contractual, medical, functional and
occupational information.
- Conduct functional telephone interviews to obtain information to ensure complete
understanding of the illness/injury and absence from work and types of support required to assist with return-to-work planning.
- Develop and maintain outcome focused case management plans to assist members return to work.
**About you**
You'll combine analytical skills with empathy and integrity. Your strong communication skills are essential for liaising with members and medical professionals, providing clear explanations and maintaining a customer centric approach.
- You have well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- You have a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in an Allied health / Customer Service role.
- You're able to work in a complex and changing environment.
- You have a high level of critical thinking and organisational skills with strong attention to detail to make fair well-informed decisions.
- You balance our members needs with an empathetic yet commercial approach, ensuring trust and transparency in the claims process.
