My client is a hugely successful Australian light manufacturing organisation, led by it's founder and CEO. Over the past decade the organisation has attracted considerable investment and has a European parent company as well as a recently acquired private equity partner. Despite this ownership structure the company has retained enormous local autonomy whilst also growing it's operations into several Asian countries.

The business has grown to a 200+ headcount organisation without any HR / P&C function. This has been achieved by outstanding leadership, great communication, and year on year success which has been celebrated and rewarded all employees. As the organisation moves into a new stage of growth they wish to consolidate what they have in the people space, and plan for the next stage of their existence. The role will begin with an audit of the existing people practices and then in collaboration with the progressive CFO you will set priorities and build the department.

The role is very much from the ground up, so responsibilities will be operational, particularly at the beginning. Duties will include
- Employee Relations - providing managers with advice (currently very low volume)
- Talent Acquisition - supporting managers with all hires / creating attraction and selection strategies
- Creating and Updating Policies and Processes
- Analytics & Reporting
- People Compliance (across multiple geographies)
- People Operations - contract generation, onboarding, offboarding
- Learning & Development - includes external vendor management
- Performance and Review system & processes
- WHS
- Reward - includes salary benchmarking
- Employee Transition - for future acquisitions
- EVP - initially documenting / articulating what is currently in place

To secure this role you will be an experienced HR Generalist ideally with experience of fast-paced, growing, commercial environment. The role could suit a current HRM, HRBP or an current Head of HR / P&C. Current title is not important but you must must be hands on with an operational inclination.

This is an office based role, 5 days per week.

This role is being managed exclusively by Capability HR.
