**Legal Assistant**

**THE ROLE**
As the legal assistant, you will be providing high level support to a partner and a team of senior lawyers in the Wills & Probate law team on a temporary basis.

Your main duties will include (but not limited to):

- Managing multiple calendars and arranging appointments
- Answering and directing phone calls and messages
- Preparing and drafting legal documents, correspondence and briefs to counsel
- Opening new files, filing and archiving
- Court filing
- Organising couriers
- Data entry
- Time recording and billing
- Organising and booking travel

**ABOUT YOU**
To be successful in this position you will ideally have experience in a legal environment in addition to:

- Intermediate computer skills utilising Microsoft Office Suite and legal doc management software
- Excellent communication skills to confidently liaise with clients and stakeholders
- Professional presentation with a positive and proactive attitude
- Ability to prioritise, be flexible and have a strong attention to detail
- Administrative or secretarial support services diploma will be highly regarded
- Experience working in a legal environment will be highly regarded
