**Job Description**:

Your role as HSE Manager will require you to interact and build relationships with all stakeholders on site to understand each role and the associated risks and what you can do to mitigate them. Using your effective stakeholder liaison skills, you will coordinate 4 contracting parties including the customer leadership team and create synergy on HSE practices, working together to achieve outcomes.
Were looking for prior project experience in change management and an understanding of the requirements of a unionized environment with the customer onsite. You will be a technically competent HSE professional leading incident investigations and coaching site leaders to run risk inspections and guide their teams on best practice safety activities. We offer a direct report to assist with administration, a Monday to Friday role, management support and ongoing development with a learning and development framework at your disposal.
**Key accountability and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to**:
- Take the lead in coaching and mentoring your large stakeholder group on HSE strategies and activities.
- Implement the H&S management plan and be accountable for driving HSE improvements thorough HSE audits, inspection, contractor management and management reviews.
- Deliver targeted training programs to develop HSE capability of the operational teams in a way that engages and influences the wider workforce.
- Conduct incident investigations to determine the cause of incidents and advise on corrective actions.
- Provide HSE and risk management advice to business leaders particularly in relation to management of change processes.
- Implement HSE training and communication programs.
**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role, ideally with complex DC operations, self-insurance models, and unionised sites
- Exemplary knowledge of HSE legislative and compliance requirements.:
- A Diploma of Health & Safety or higher qualification plus 5 years of experience in high-risk industry.
- Good influencing and coordination skills coupled with the ability to exercise sound judgement and demonstrate resilience in a high-risk environment.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively and build strong stakeholder relationships whilst influencing and coaching.
