**About the role**
Reporting to the Director - Sustainability, this position will play a pivotal role in expanding the efficacy and reach of Development Victoria’s sustainability and innovation initiatives. A critical aspect of this position is working in collaboration with Civic, Precinct and Property Development delivery teams to support the strategic direction of projects as it relates to sustainability and outcomes optimisation.

The role will provide specialist and strategic support to project teams, engage and manage consultants, contribute to board and annual reporting, undertake internal & external stakeholder engagement, drive organisational outcomes, and help to shape Development Victoria’s long term Sustainability approach. The position will require engagement across all tiers within the organisation, as well as relevant external government and industry stakeholders.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
You’ll be a high performing individual who can build trust and effective relationships to develop technical and innovative solutions to improve sustainability outcomes on across all our projects and operations.
- Proven experience in design thinking and translating technical sustainability analysis into value driven outcomes
- Demonstrated experience working on projects of differing scale and complexity across various sectors
- Substantial ‘client facing’ experience communicating project vision and objectives
- Track record of developing successful design solutions
- Experience working in associated fields of engineering, architecture or other relevant technical disciplines
- Experience in the analysis of individual or organisational drivers
- Applied knowledge of development and planning in Victoria
- Experience in influencing and managing people to generate successful results
- Experience working in the public or private sector providing expert advice, evaluation and assessments on design and sustainability issues
- Experience presenting key information in a clear and digestible way to teams, management and other key stakeholders

**Education**
- Minimum of a Bachelor degree (Masters or equivalent preferred) in engineering, design or other relevant technical discipline.
