**About this role**
Arup has an opportunity for an experienced ESG / sustainable finance professional to support the expansion of the Sustainable Investment Advisory (SIA) team across the region. The purpose of this role is to support and expand the SIA service offering across the Australasia region, based in either of Sydney or Melbourne. This is a high impact role that will help shape the future of Arup’s Advisory and Climate and Sustainability Services (CSS) businesses.

**What will I do?**
- Support significant and complex projects whilst being responsible for specific ESG and sustainable finance advisory work streams
- Provide critical decision making and strategic support to Arup’s clients in achieving their ESG and sustainability objectives
- Provide timely and quality technical advice to clients and respond to client requirements
- Support work winning activities
- You will likely be responsible for the skills development of graduate level team members including training select team members in sustainable finance, ESG, strategy and reporting

**What will I bring?**
- 4+ years relevant experience and bachelors degree in finance, economics, commerce, sustainability science or similar
- Be conversant with some, but not necessarily across all relevant concepts, including EU Taxonomy, portfolio decarbonisation, green bonds / sustainability linked loans, climate risk & governance, responsible investment, and natural capital
- Comfort with ESG due diligence for Mergers & Acquisitions, ESG strategy and sustainability reporting.
- Experience in inputting into or managing sustainable finance engagements and work with clients to identify areas of value creation
- Expertise in financial modelling and analysis and developing investment cases for public or private investment
