**About us**
Funds in Court (FIC) is a self-funded division of the Supreme Court of Victoria, managing funds paid into Court, primarily for people under a legal disability. All funds are held, invested and administered by the Associate Judge of the Court who is the Senior Master. FIC provides support and services for over 7,000 persons under ‘legal disability' (beneficiaries).
The ICT team provides technical support to Funds in Court to deliver beneficiary services and fund management. Information Communication & Technology Services (ICT) team provides a comprehensive range of IT services, including mobility, network services, software support, case management system, support, audiovisual, IT vendor management, business analysis, procurement, telephony, and communications support. In its day-to-day operations and future business needs, the ICT group aims to ensure FIC is appropriately supported in its service to the Victorian community.
**About the role**
The Administrative Services Officer supports a critical function of Funds in Court as FICs' first point of contact for all document processing, which is received both physically and electronically. The Administrative Services Officer's responsibility is to analyse incoming documents, prioritise their importance, tag the record with relevant information, match it to the correct business area, and log the document into the FICs case management system for processing. Items such as (but not limited to) cheques, invoices for services, orders for payment from FIC beneficiaries, and tax matters
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform first-level analysis on all documents, requests, and enquiries logged to the administration service team channels using existing knowledge databases.
- Ensure that all documents, requests, and inquiries are logged into the designated service management tool with the required level of detail to meet key performance measures.
- Ensure that the distribution of documents is matched to the appropriate FIC business areas and staff for further processing.
**About you**
- Knowledge of trust, human rights, disability, property, and criminal law is highly desirable.
- Experience in the disability sector, trustee industry and personal injury proceedings will be highly regarded.
- Commitment to the interest of people with a disability and willingness to operate in a manner that is consistent with FIC's code of conduct, inspiring trust by treating all individuals fairly.
- Ability to work within a team environment and support other FIC staff in the pursuit of optimal outcomes for beneficiaries.
