SCP Consulting currently has an exciting entry-level opportunity for a motivated person with a desire to learn, to join our Structural Drafting team as a Trainee Structural Drafter.

Our drafting team uses 3D modelling software (Revit) to document projects, which means you will get to think and model projects in 3D.

**The Role**

This is a 3-year full-time Traineeship, 4 days will be in our CBD office, located less than 10 minutes walk from Town Hall Station & Gadigal Metro Station, and one day per week learning about engineering and design at Ultimo TAFE beginning early 2025.

As a Structural Drafting Trainee you will:

- Work alongside Structural Engineers and experienced Structural Drafters to assist in the documentation of various types of buildings such as Schools, health facilities, residential apartment towers, commercial buildings and defence projects.
- Manage & upload documents to various document management websites.
- Communicate with the Lead Drafter and Project Engineer to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Other general office duties as required.

Undertaking a traineeship means you will be supported financially to gain a nationally recognised qualification as well as hands-on industry training which will mean when you finish you will have qualification and experience in a great career.

**Who We are Looking for**

The position would best suit a recent school leaver (successful completion of HSC required) with an interest in engineering and/or technical drawing, someone who can think in 3D and is keen to learn.

We are looking for a team player with good communication skills.

The successful applicant will be willing to learn, has an eye for detail and is motivated to be successful.

Previous exposure to drafting/modelling software such as Revit would be highly regarded but not essential as training will be provided.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
