The Team Leader in the Electorate Office Service Coordination (EOSC) team plays a critical leadership role in shaping the future of support services to more than 300 staff across Queensland's 97 electorate offices. As part of the Corporate and Electorate Services Division, the position guides a newly formed team responsible for enhancing service delivery and coordination. With a strategic focus on improving connections between internal service units and electorate offices, the Team Leader ensures consistency, responsiveness, and high-quality outcomes across all touchpoints.
This role involves leading project development, overseeing business improvement initiatives, and working collaboratively with internal service providers and electorate office staff. The Team Leader works closely with electorate office staff, drives innovation in service processes, and maintains alignment with operational priorities and service expectations. It's a dynamic position suited for someone passionate about public service, collaborative teamwork, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
Liaise between electorate office clients and internal service delivery units.
Help develop strategies to support electorate staff delivering services to the public.
Guide service coordination, identifying risks and driving solutions.
Communicate clearly across stakeholder and executive audiences.
Share policy and service updates with electorate office clients.
Develop best practice reference materials for electorate office staff.
Prepare high-level reports, submissions, and briefings.
Collaborate with People and Culture to deliver digital learning via our Learning Management System.
About You
You have a collaborative, practical approach and an understanding of electorate office operations. You're confident communicating with stakeholders, contributing to service improvements, and supporting frontline staff. You bring experience in a government or client-focused environment and are skilled in building relationships, strategic thinking, and translating procedures into helpful support.
Highly desirable
Experience working in State or Commonwealth electorate offices or similar government/client-focused settings.
Tertiary qualifications in business, human resources, education, communications, or project management.

Effective communication across internal and executive levels.
Proven ability in strategic analysis, problem-solving.
