Where the team fits in

The Learning & Development team reports through to Broker Operations, a part of the broader REA Financial Services business inclusive of Mortgage Choice, our national mortgage broker network and business. Financial Services consists of Broker Operations, Distribution, Corporate Communications & Franchise Marketing, Product and Technology. Mortgage Choice comprises a network of over 1,000 mortgage brokers and the FS business is responsible for growing, supporting and enabling the franchise network to serve Australians with their home loan needs.

Learning & Development is accountable for leading, delivering and enhancing the ongoing development, competencies and capabilities of our franchise owners, their loans consultants and by extension the Financial Services business. The team is responsible for delivering a coordinated program of learning underpinned by the principles of business success targeted to its audience. The function is pivotal to the onboarding of new recruits to the network as well as the successful delivery of new initiatives and change across the business.

What the role is all about

The National Learning and Development Manager exists to deliver a coordinated program of learning across the Mortgage Choice network, extending to key REA Financial Services stakeholders. Beyond this, the L&D Manager plays a custodial role for all learning events across Financial Services, ensuring a desired and consistent experience of learning for all stakeholders.

Specifically, the role is responsible for:
- Design and ownership of Learning & Development Strategy for REA Financial Services, including stakeholder engagement- Design and delivery of national Learning & Development program that promotes achievement of key business outcomes e.g. Induction of new recruits, Mentor-Host Program, National Credit Coaching Program, Mortgage Choice Playbook- Ensuring program delivery meets ongoing industry and regulatory requirements- Facilitating access to industry required training through external parties (Certificate IV, Diploma of Financial Services (Mortgage Broking))- Supporting delivery of national based network Professional Development initiatives e.g. PD Days, High Performance Summit, National Conference- Ensuring training based materials and content is housed and maintained in a fit for purpose environment- Monitoring participant engagement and success of learning outcomes ensuring a positive user experience- Identifying Data based insights to drive continuous improvement in delivery and effectiveness- Continuous open dialogue with stakeholders and evaluation to understand and meet evolving network and business requirements- Championing Learning & Development across REA Financial Services

Who we’re looking for
- Business Skills and Experience:_- Proven track record in strong people and business leadership- High level of strategic acumen and experience in developing, reviewing and measuring effectiveness of developmental strategies- Well developed coaching, facilitating and presentation capabilities demonstrated in previous roles- Proven track record in developing capability and high performance in others- Preferred experience working with or understanding franchise or small business operations and their business needs- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with people at different levels and with contrasting levels of technical knowledge and skills
