**Licensed Technician - Data Cabling & Security**

**Location**: Newcastle, Central Coast & Surrounding Areas
**Salary**: $80,000 - $85,000 per year + Company Car + Penalty Rates

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent

Ideal Technologies is a Newcastle-based commercial data cabling and security contracting company. We specialize in high-quality installations and service work across a range of commercial and retail projects.

We are looking for a **licensed technician** to join our team and play a key role in one of our current construction projects. If you have strong technical skills, take pride in your work, and enjoy working independently, we’d love to hear from you

**The Role**

This position requires an experienced **self-motivated technician** who can manage installations and service work while also supervising field staff when needed. The role involves working on a variety of commercial projects across Newcastle, the Central Coast, and surrounding areas.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and execute **data cabling and security installation projects**:

- Terminate and test **copper and fibre structured cabling**:

- Ensure compliance with **industry standards and safety regulations**:

- Provide **high-quality workmanship** and maintain excellent **customer service**:

- Work both independently and collaboratively with project managers and site teams
- Travel occasionally for projects (**travel allowances provided**)

**What We’re Looking For**
- **Experience in commercial/retail telecommunications and data cabling**:

- Strong knowledge of **copper and fibre cabling termination and testing**:

- The ability to **work independently** and **lead small teams**:

- A strong focus on **safety, quality, and customer satisfaction**

**Required Qualifications & Licenses**
- **OH&S General Induction (White Card)**:

- **BICSI/ACRS Cabler Registration** with competencies/endorsements OR **Certificate III in Telecommunications**:

- **Valid Australian Driver’s License**:

- Must be an **Australian citizen or permanent resident**:

- Additional certifications or endorsements will be **highly regarded**
